Wide Receivers: Romeo Doubs getting Rodgers attention

Like in every NFL training camp, there are always players that make an impression on the coaching staff and the rest of the players. Rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs of the Green Bay Packers is tearing up training camp for them. He was a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers out of Nevada though.

Doubs was not projected to be anything right away for the Packers. Everyone was expecting second-round pick Christian Watson out of North Dakota State to potentially be the number one wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. However, Green Bay might give that nod to Doubs. This wide receiver group is really thin, especially since Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders this past offseason.

Doubs in his senior year at Nevada played in 11 games. He caught 80 passes for 1,109 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. Romeo Doubs also rushed for four yards on one carry. He could potentially have a breakout season not only for the Green Bay Packers, but could also be potentially a sleeper for fantasy football this season though.

Romeo Doubs height is 6’2″ and weighs 204 lbs though. He is going to cause headaches this season for the Green Bay Packers. Having Aaron Rodgers as your starting quarterback is going to help him out a lot. It would not be a surprise to see Doubs have a big season as a rookie, even if Green Bay transitions to a run-first offense though.

This will be interesting to see what he does during the preseason games. Romeo Doubs is going to be one of the players that plays in all of the games. He is going to have to earn his stripes to get legit playtime. His name has come out of nowhere during training camp. Doubs has surprised everyone but himself.
