  • The significant interest in San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier is definitely spreading. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights joined the New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday in their expressed interest in pursuing the 27-year-old. Meier comes with a $6-million cap hit and is currently a pending restricted free agent. His qualifying offer will be $10 million, and he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2024.

  • The St. Louis Cardinals and president of baseball operations John Mozeliak have come to an agreement on an extension that will keep him with the team through the 2025 season. The 54-year-old joined the team as a scout in 1995 and became general manager in 2007.
