NFL


  • Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon, has been hired on a 5-year deal as the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. The 40-year-old has been with the Eagles since 2021 but previously served as an assistant for the Atlanta Falcons in 2007, Tennessee Titans in 2012-2013, Minnesota Vikings from 2014-2017, and the Indianapolis Colts from 2018-2020.



  • The Indianapolis Colts made the announcement on Tuesday that they have hired Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen as their new head coach. Philadelphia lost both of their coordinators in 1 day to head coaching positions. The 37-year-old spent the last 2 season with the Eagles.





NBA


  • Jrue Holiday matched his career high 40 points to help lift the Milwaukee Bucks to their 11th straight win. Milwaukee beat an injury riddled Boston Celtics in OT 131-125. Holiday saying after the game:

“I don't really, I guess, care for how I'm playing as long as we're winning. For me, as long as we get the win, I'm OK. The only stat I look at is turnovers. That's kind of how I determine if I had a good or bad game. Tonight, what did I have, five turnovers? To me, that hurts my soul."



  • Kawhi Leonard put up 33 points, tying his career high 7, 3-pointers, and the Los Angeles Clippers stopped a 2-game losing streak and beat the Golden State Warriors 134-124 on Tuesday. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying in post game:

“The Clippers just outplayed us. They were great in the second half and they deserved it.”







NHL


  • The Columbus Blue Jackets made the announcement on Tuesday that defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov will be a healthy scratch against the New Jersey Devils for trade-related reasons. The 27-year-old saying about his current situation:

"It's hard waking up and (trying to) figure this out. I try not to think about it. Try to be busy and do something, because it's gotta be in your head, and the guys are wondering. … We'll see what's happening. Hopefully, the guys can get two points for us tonight."


  • The significant interest in San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier is definitely spreading. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights joined the New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday in their expressed interest in pursuing the 27-year-old. Meier comes with a $6-million cap hit and is currently a pending restricted free agent. His qualifying offer will be $10 million, and he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2024.





MLB


  • The St. Louis Cardinals and president of baseball operations John Mozeliak have come to an agreement on an extension that will keep him with the team through the 2025 season. The 54-year-old joined the team as a scout in 1995 and became general manager in 2007.
