Tuesday Tidbits You Might Have Missed

NFL

  • The Green Bay Packers have been actively searching around the league to land a trade for a wide receiver. Green Bay has been looking to get ahold of a pass-catcher that is still on a rookie contract.

  • The NFL has suspended defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs Frank Clark, for violating the leagues personal conduct policy. Clark pleaded no contest last month in Los Angeles to 2 counts of misdemeanor charges for possession of an assault weapon. He was charged in July 2021 after an incident in March of 2021 where 2 loaded guns were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop and again in June of 2021 when police found an Uzi submachine gun in his car during yet another traffic stop.

  • The Las Vegas Raiders have traded defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins and a 2024 7th-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys in return for a 2023 6th-round pick.

NBA

  • Klay Thompson was given his 1st career ejection on Tuesday during the game between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns, when things got a bit dicey in the 2nd half. Refs issued technical fouls to both Thompson and Devin Booker in the 3rd quarter of the game after the 2 went chest-to-chest during a short stoppage in play. The 2 were separated but Thompson continued running his mouth at an official and was tossed from the contest as a result.

  • Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will miss Tuesday's contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder and will also be out for the 2nd game Thursday after he has been experiencing some stiffness in his right knee that was surgically repaired.

  • New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson missed Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks siting a right posterior hip/lower back contusion. Williamson exited during the 4th quarter of Sunday's game against the Utah Jazz. The injury happened when he went down hard on the court after his blocked dunk attempt.
