Trevor Lawrence Carries Jaguars Over Ravens

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has had growing pains through his first two NFL seasons and hasn't had a signature victory up to this point. He helped Jacksonville score 18 fourth-quarter points including the game two-point conversion pass to Zay Jones with less than 18 seconds remaining in a 28-27 win over Baltimore.

Lawrence threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Jones Jr. to set up that play. Also, Justin Tucker missed a 67-yard field goal for the Ravens as time expired. Everyone had to hold their breaths for a second on that play in order that the Jaguars would officially seal the win.

Even though the Jacksonville Jaguars won't make the playoffs most likely this season, this is a step in the right direction for Trevor Lawrence. He and head coach Doug Pederson appear to be in lockstep for the long haul and that appears to be a good thing for this football team.

Trevor Lawrence completed 29-of-37 passes for 321 yards passing and three touchdowns. This was probably the best game of his NFL career at this point. A lot of people were expecting this out of him when he was selected number one overall out of Clemson University in the 2021 NFL Draft.

He is going to have a lot more games like this and hopefully, the Jacksonville fanbase thinks so. The other two touchdown passes Lawrence threw in this football game came in the second quarter on a 28-yard pass to JaMychal Hasty and a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Agnew in the fourth quarter.

Hasty stepped up in a big way due to the injury of Travis Etinne Jr. He rushed for 28 yards on 12 carries, but caught five passes for 67 yards receiving and a score. Etinne Jr. finished with three yards rushing on two carries for the Jaguars before leaving the game.

Jacksonville's leading receiver in this football game was Zay Jones with 11 receptions for 145 yards receiving and zero touchdowns.

Jamal Agnew caught five passes for 37 yards receiving and a score.

Marvin Jones Jr. caught three passes for 22 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Christian Kirk also caught four passes for 46 yards receiving as well in this football game.

Jacksonville's defense had a hard time containing Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. He completed 16-of-32 passes for 254 yards passing and one touchdown. Jackson was also Baltimore's leading rusher with 89 yards rushing on 14 carries. Josh Oliver was their leading receiver with four receptions for 76 yards receiving and a touchdown.

The late-game defense for the Ravens has been a massive concern for them so far this season. Baltimore is currently tied for first place in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals (7-4) after they defeated the Tennessee Titans (7-4) 20-16 on the road. The Ravens currently hold the tie-breaker over the Bengals because Cincinnati lost to Baltimore back in Week 5 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Next week, the Baltimore Ravens (7-4) in their next football game will host the Denver Broncos (3-8) on Sunday 12/4.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) will be on the road next Sunday 12/4, in a football game against the Detroit Lions (4-7).
