Day 3 is where you win the draft. Here are my gems of this round.
4-106. Blake Freeland (OT) BYU to Colts- Super athletic OT who may have slid because of size concerns. He tested well but needs to add some mass to his body. He's the eventual blindside OT to Richardson.
4-113. Clark Phillips III (CB) Utah to Atlanta Falcons- It all comes down to his arm size. The guy is an absolute stud, just watch Tape vs Addison. Fontenot does a great job of finding talents late and this was a gem.
4-115. Roschon Johnson (RB) Texas to Bears- The Bears went out and got themselves a Dameon Pierce. A lot of tread is left on these powerful tires.
4-127: Jake Haener (QB) Fresno St to New Orleans- He gets to learn under fellow Fresno St alum Derek Carr and then will be the guy. His leadership is off the charts, he's a guy you can win with in the NFL.
4-131: Charlie Jones (WR) Purdue to Cincinnati- Things are going to get tight cap-wise in Cincinnati with some big contracts to hand out. This is how you establish a pipeline at a position, by drafting well and coaching players up.
