Three Round NFL Mock Draft 1.0

With some help from The Draft Network simulator,  I did a three round mock picking for each team but doing no trades just to see how things might play out in a little less than a month.

Round 1

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars:   Trevor Lawrence   QB, Clemson...The type of player that can bring retired coaches back to work.

  2. New York Jets:  Zach Wilson     QB, BYU…Reminds me a lot of Tony Romo and hopefully once and for all the NY Jets have their true franchise QB

  3. San Francisco 49ers  Mac Jones  QB, Alabama.  Kyle made the move to get his Matt Ryan but how long does he sit on the bench behind Jimmy G?

  4. Atlanta Falcons: Justin Fields QB, Ohio State..No way Atlanta passes on the chance to add a Georgia native as their QB for the next dozen years.    He’ll likely redshirt this year or have “Justin packages” before taking over in 2022.

  5. Cincinnati Bengals: Ja’Marr Chase WR, LSU…reunited with Joe Burrow and now is Cincinnati #1 WR with Green gone.

  6. Miami Dolphins: DeVonta Smith  WR, Alabama….Miami adds the Heisman trophy winner, #1 WR for Tua and still have a ton of picks.

  7. Detroit Lions:   Jaylen Waddle  WR, Alabama…Lions are in the market for a number one wide receiver and adding the Tyreek Hill like weapon answer that need.

  8. Carolina Panthers:  Trey Lance   QB, North Dakota State…If the first round goes like this Carolina would be thrilled to add Lance as their future franchise QB while learning behind Bridgewater for a season.

  9. Denver Broncos:  Micah Parsons  LB, Penn State….With the top QB prospects gone the Broncos give Vic a defense tackling machine.

  10. Dallas Cowboys:  Patrick Surtain II  CB, Alabama…Cowboys answers the only spot in the secondary they have not addressed and get a special talent in Surtain.

  11. New York Giants: Kyle Pitts   TE, Florida..Suddenly Daniel Jones gets drastically better

  12. Philadelphia Eagles:  Penei Sewell  OT, Oregon….With the Philly rebuild adding a left tackle of this caliber will make everyone on the offense better.

  13. Los Angeles Chargers:  Rashawn Slater OT, Northwestern

  14. Minnesota Vikings:   Alijah Vera-Tucker  IOL, USC

  15. New England Patriots: Jaycee Horn CB, South Carolina

  16. Arizona Cardinals: Najee Harris RB, Alabama…Add the talented Harris with the wide receivers group give Murray even more weapons.   With so much talent on offense Harris will feel like he is still in college.

  17. Las Vegas Raiders: Christian Darrisaw OT, Virginia Tech

  18. Miami Dolphins:  Jaelan Phillips  EDGE, Miami…if he were 100% healthy in college he likely would have been a top 10 selection

  20. Chicago Bears: Rashod Bateman  WR, Minnesota…A Michael Gallup like weapon for Andy Dalton

  21. Indianapolis Colts:  Liam Eichenberg OT, Notre Dame….Great protection for Carson Wentz.

  22. Tennessee Titans:  Greg Newsome II  CB, Northwestern

  23. New York Jets:  Caleb Farley  CB, Virginia Tech…because of minor surgery Farley will fall but NY Jets take a chance.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs:  Terrace Marshall Jr.  WR, LSU….Another weapon for Patrick

  32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Christian Barmore  IDL, Alabama…the long term answer at IDL for the Champs.
