The Georgia Bulldogs Manhandle TCU 65-7 To Win The CFP National Title

The Georgia Bulldogs are the 2023 College Football Playoffs National Champions after their impressive win over TCU 65-7. This is Bulldogs' second consecutive National Title as they successfully defended their title after winning it earlier in 2022. Now the talk of the town is how dominant of a team the Bulldogs are. It looks to me, that we may be looking at a dynasty in the making.
Georgia Bulldogs vs TCU Horned Frogs
The Bulldogs entered the championship final with a 14-0 record this season. They were one of the favorites to claim the title because of their impressive run that dates back to the 2021-22 season. However, no one anticipated it to be such a compelling, convincing, and comprehensive victory.
The Bulldogs quite literally blew away the TCU Horned Frogs as they won the College Football Playoff National Championship Final with a huge margin of 65 – 7. By the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 17–7. However, what followed was unbelievable as TCU failed to score a single point in the next three quarters. Thus, sinking to the massive scoring by the Bulldogs as the lead kept on building.
Georgia scored 17 points in the first quarter and added another 21 points in the second quarter to make it 38 – 7, at the halfway mark. They further added another 14 and 13 points in the next two quarters to make it 65 – 7. The 65 points the Bulldogs scored are the most points ever in a college football championship game. Not just that, the 58-point win is the largest victory margin in FBS bowl history.
Back-to-Back Championships for Georgia Bulldogs
With two back-to-back NCAA Football Championships, the Georgia Bulldogs have become the first team since Alabama in 2011 and 2012 to win two consecutive College Football Titles.
Stetson Bennett and Javon Bullard were the two stars of the night. Bennett was the offensive MVP while Bullard received the defensive MVP.
Stetson Bennett tied a CFP record with six total touchdowns, two on the ground and four through the air. Javon Bullard recovered a fumble and accounted for two interceptions that help change the complexity of the game.
A Bright Future Ahead | Is This The Start Of A Bulldogs Dynasty?
The Georgia Bulldogs for years was a team full of potential, and capability of being an elite football program. However, for many years the Dawgs would always fall short. They could not get over the hump of beating Alabama, and there was always that one eastern conference game that hindered the Bulldogs. However, two back-to-back title wins have put them back on track. Many fans and experts are hailing the Bulldogs as one of the finest teams in history.
Not even 24 hours after their victory, the Georgia Bulldogs are the betting favorites to win next season's College Football Playoff. They are gradually transitioning to a dynasty phase right before our eyes.
