Tennessee Titans NFL Draft Needs

The Tennessee Titans will have the 26th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Tennessee had the number one seed in the AFC last season before flaming out in the AFC Divisional Round against the Cincinnati Bengals. They have a lot of needs.

Head coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Jon Robinson will try to figure out what is the best fit for this football team. The Tennessee Titans should be the favorites to win the AFC South again next year. The Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Houston Texans will not be very good again. What could Tennessee take with the 26th overall pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft?

Slot Wide Receiver

With A.J. Brown and Robert Woods as the primary receivers, they need a number three receiver in the slot. They don’t have the depth at that position right now. It would help out quarterback Ryan Tannehill tremendously. A few potential wide receivers that could be available at this selection for the Tennessee Titans are Jahan Dotson (Penn State), Chris Olave (Ohio State), and Treylon Burks (Arkansas).

All of them are very fast except for Burks. Burks is the strongest of the three. Dotson might be the biggest game-breaker of the three and could return kickoffs and punts. Olave might have the best hands of the three.

Interior Offensive Lineman

The Tennessee Titans need help on the offensive line. They lost Rodger Saffold in free agency to the Buffalo Bills. Tennessee needs a starting left guard to start alongside left tackle Taylor Lewan.

Kenyon Green of Texas A & M, Zion Johnson of Boston College, and Tyler Linderbaum of Iowa could fit these voids. All three of them would immediately be day one starters in the NFL. Tennessee can’t go wrong with either of these three players, but Green and Johnson would be great plug-ins right away. Linderbaum is more versatile at guard and center.

Best Defensive Player Available

Mike Vrabel is a defensive first head coach and they could bulk up the defense. There are many places they can go on defense. They are loaded on the defensive line. Three potential players they could go with are George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue, Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia, and David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan. The pick that would make the most sense for them here is Nakobe Dean.

They need some help at linebacker, especially in the middle. Dean was the anchor of the Georgia Bulldogs defense that led them to a National Championship last season against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
