Green Bay Packers star pass rusher, Rashan Gary, went down in the 3rd quarter and was later carted to the locker room. The team is now saying he suffered a torn ACL and will undergo an MRI today to determine if there was further damage. The Packers lost to the Detroit Lions 15-9.
Despite the Tampa Bay Buccaneers struggles, quarterback Tom Brady was able to hit another milestone during Sundays down to the wire win against the Los Angeles Rams 16-13. The 45-year-old became the first player in NFL history to reach 100,000 passing yards, including the playoffs.
The Carolina Panthers were run over by the Cincinnati Bengals 42-21 on Sunday. Shortly following the loss interim coach Steve Wilks fired cornerbacks coach Evan Cooper and defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni.

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson has been suspended for 2 games by the NHL Department of Player Safety as a result of his boarding Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo on Saturday. At the time Anderson received a 5 minute major and a game misconduct as a result of the play.
The Boston Bruins made the decision to part ways with prospect Mitchell Miller just 2 days after signing him. The team making the announcement on Sunday after facing a fair share of backlash from their own players and the league alike. Bruins President Cam Neely had this to say:
"The decision to sign this young man was made after careful consideration of the facts as we were aware of them: That at 14 years old, he made a poor decision that led to a juvenile conviction. We understood this to be an isolated incident and that he had taken meaningful action to reform and was committed to ongoing personal development. Based on that understanding, we offered him a contract. Based on new information, we believe it is the best decision at this time to rescind the opportunity for Mitchell Miller to represent the Boston Bruins."
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed goaltender Keith Petruzzelli to a 2 year, entry-level contract as they struggle with a growing list of injuries. Young goalie Ilya Samsonov left Saturday's matchup against the Boston Bruins after the 2nd period. He injured his knee after falling backward attempting to stop a penalty shot from Brad Marchand. The 25-year-old will undergo an MRI but is expected to miss more then a week.

The MLBPA has announced the latest group of players that are now officially free-agents after exercising opt-out clauses or declining player options. This coming just a day after they announced 131 players that became free-agents at the conclusion of the World Series. The lastes additions are Xander Bogaerts, Carlos Correa, Jacob deGrom, Carlos Rodon, Jurickson Profar, Nelson Cruz, Taijuan Walker, Zach Davies, and Robert Suarez but there will for sure be more to come.
The New York Mets and the All-Star closer Edwin Diaz have come to an agreement on a 5 year, $102-million contract. The deal contains an opt-out, a full no-trade clause, as well as a 6th year option.
