The Los Angeles Lakers finally pull down their 1st win of the season, they were the last team in the NBA to do so. LeBron James scored 26 points and Anthony Davis scored 23 to help lift the struggling Lakers to a 121-110 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Dallas Mavericks big man Luka Doncic came up big again on Sunday night against the Orlando Magic. The 23-year-old point guard put up 44 points in the Mavericks 114-105 win over the Magic. He has scored 30+ points in each of his 1st 6 games this season putting him in the company of the great Michael Jordon, who was the last player to do it in 1986.
The recently struggling Detroit Pistons got it together and pulled out a win against the defending champion Golden State Warriors on Sunday. Saddiq Bey scored 28 points, Cade Cunningham was an assist short of a triple-double and Detroit won 128-114. Pistons coach Dwane Casey said after the game:
“I'm overjoyed for our guys after the work they put in tonight. That's what happens with a young, rebuilding team. There are going to be nights like this where people are going to say, ‘Whoa, where did that come from?’ That's exciting."

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones will miss 3 to 4 weeks with a thumb injury. Head coach Luke Richardson stated that Jones suffered the injury when he blocked a shot during the 2nd period of Saturday's 4-3 OT loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
