  1. Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is reportedly in stable condition after being the victim of an armed carjacking in Washington, D.C. last night. The 23-year-old was shot and hit by 2 bullets in the lower body. The Commanders organization released a statement after becoming aware of the incident :

“We have been made aware that Brian Robinson Jr. was the victim of an attempted armed robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at the hospital, where team officials are on-site with him.   1. The NFL Network released it’s NFL Top 100 list for 2022. This list was introduced in 2011 and is voted on by players. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady edged out Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald for the #1 spot. Brady is the 1st player to be ranked #1 in 4 separate years (2011, 2017, 2018, 2022).

  1. The Miami Dolphins are signing free-agent pass-rusher Trey Flowers to a 1-year contract worth $2.1 million. Flowers has been in the league for 7 years, playing his 1st 4 seasons in New England winning 2 Super Bowls with them. He spent the last 2 seasons in Detroit.

  1. Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander left his start against the Baltimore Orioles early siting right calf pain. Verlander felt something in his calf while covering first base in the 3rd inning. He made trainers aware of the issue immediately and will go for further tests on Monday. The Astros went on to beat the Orioles 3-1.

  1. The last place Oakland A’s pulled off their 2nd unexpected win against the New York Yankees on Sunday beating them 4-1. Minor league call-up Adrián Martínez held the Yankees hitless into the 5th inning. Oakland held New York to just 5 hits over the 2 games.

  1. Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout both sent one over the wall helping lift the Los Angeles Angels over the Toronto Blue Jays 8-3 on Sunday, completing the 3-game sweep. The Blue Jays are in an up and down struggle in their pursuit of the wild card spot. Mike Trout saying after the game :
