  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have activated their Pro Bowl center, Ryan Jensen from the injured reserve list just in time for him to be on the field for their Monday night Wild Card Playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Inside linebacker J.J. Russell was waived in order to make room on the 53-man roster.

  • New Orleans former head coach Sean Payton is the most sought after to fill the growing handful of vacancies out there in the NFL. The Saints have given permission to the Arizona Cardinals, the Denver Broncos, the Houston Texans and most recently the Carolina Panthers. The Saints are reportedly seeking at least a 1st round draft pick for the 59-year-old coach, who they retain the rights to after his retirement last year.

  • The divisional round of the playoffs schedule is set, just waiting for the final slot to fill with the winner of tonight's matchup between Tampa Bay and San Francisco.

  • Despite the Los Angeles Lakers taking the loss on Sunday to the Philadelphia 76er's 113-112, LeBron James joined former great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as just the 2nd player in NBA history to break the 38,000 point marker for his career. James breaking the record in the 1st quarter but finished the game with 35 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds.

  • Damian Lillard put down a 40 point game to help lift the Portland Trailblazers over the Dallas Mavericks 140-123 on Sunday night. The Mavericks did rest star Luka Doncic, he has missed 5 games this season and all of the were the 2nd in a back to back matchup.

  • The Chicago Bulls finally broke an 11 game losing streak against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night beating them 132-118. Nikola Vucevic matched a career high with 43 points and Zach LaVine contributed 27 points. Klay Thompson scored 26 points and Stephen Curry added 20 despite their losing effort.

  • The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to 11 games with a 117-104 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Julius Randle put up 42 points and 15 rebounds and Jalen Brunson added 27 points.


  • The Minnesota Wild have signed winger Matt Boldy to a 7 year deal with an AAV of $7 million. The 21-year-old Massachusetts native was set to become a free agent this summer.

  • The Carolina Hurricanes had to make a decision about the 3 goaltenders on the roster. They have decided to demote rookie Pyotr Kochetkov to the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
