Sunday Summary In Case You Missed Something


NFL


  • San Francisco 49er's All-Pro receiver Deebo Samuel was carted off the field in the 2nd quarter of their 35-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was first belived that he had suffered a knee injury but post game clarification was it was thought to be a high-ankle sprain and that he had avoided serious injury. Further testing will be done on Monday.



  • Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson slammed his head off of the ground running for a 3rd and 11 conversion in the 4th quarter. He was taken out of the game immediately and placed under concussion protocol. The Broncos lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 34-28.



  • The Cincinnati Bengals lost 2 of their top 3 wideouts in a matter of minutes in Sundays win against the Cleveland Browns. Tee Higgins tweaked his hamstring during warm-ups and never went out on the field for the game and on the 1st series Tyler Boyd suffered what appeared to be a hand injury. Perhaps the hardest hitting injury new came after the game. Defensive end Trey Hendrickson suffered a broken wrist, which he played the entirety of the 4th quarter with. He is expected to miss at least a few weeks.





NHL


  • In a matchup of division leaders on Sunday between the Boston Celtics and the Vegas Golden Knights, Jake DeBrusk scored early in the 3rd period to put Boston on top for good. The Bruins beat the Knights 3-1.




  • Nashville Predators forward Michael McCarron has entered the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program. He will be unavailable indefinitely, under the terms of the joint program he will continue to be paid during his absence and will return to the Predators once he has been cleared to be on the ice again.
