As it stands now the New York Giants and quarterback Daniel Jones agents will leave the combine today with no deal for a contract extension in sight. The 25-year-old is reportedly looking to take in over $45 million a year on a long-term extension. The team has until Tuesday to place the franchise tag on Jones so that he does not hit the free agent market on March 13th.
Former University of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson had a standout day at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. His day started with his official measurements coming in at 6 feet 4 and 1/4 inches tall, 244 pounds. The 21-year-old broke quarterback combine records in vertical jump (40.5 inches) and broad jump (10 feet 9 inches), may not have broken a record in the 40-yard-dash but definitely made his mark with the 3rd fastest time for a quarterback in combine history with a 4.43.
Wide receiver Trey Palmer out of Nebraska took the crown yesterday at the combine for the fastest 40-yard dash of the group, finishing with a 4.33. Derius Davis from TCU followed closely behind with a 4.36.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will be out for at least the next 2 games after being seen early Saturday morning on an Instagram live video holding what appeared to be a gun. Morant apologized in a statement that was released via his agent :
"I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis, and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I'm going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being."
The Philadelphia 76er's made a comeback in the 2nd half of Saturday night game to put an end to the Milwaukee Bucks 16 game win steak. Joel Embiid hit a go ahead 3-pointer with 41.4 seconds left in the game and the 76er's won 133-130.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke will miss the rest of the season after tearing his Achilles tendon. The 26-year-old suffered the no-contact injury in the 1st quarter of Fridays nights loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The Toronto Maple Leafs top trade deadline pickup, Ryan O'Reilly was not able to return the game after taking a shot off of his hand late in the 2nd period. Toronto fell to the Vancouver Canucks 4-1 in Saturdays game. Head coach Sheldon Keefe saying they would have a clearer picture of his injury come Monday.
The NHL-leading Boston Bruins beat the New York Rangers 4-2 on Saturday, extending their win streak to 10 games. The Bruins move to 26-2-3 at home and increased their total for the season to 103 points.

All-Star 1st baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has pulled himself out of the upcoming World Baseball Classic, where he was supposed to join a loaded roster for the Dominican Republic team. The 23-year-old suffered a right knee injury during Fridays Grapefruit League game. The MRI revealed no structural damage, but he is dealing with inflammation.
The Colorado Rockies have signed veteran reliever Brad Hand to a 1-year deal with a club option for 2024. The 32-year-olds deal carries $2 million in guaranteed money and the club option will pay $7 million if exercised.
