  1. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson seems to have put his own deadline on extension talks. His self imposed deadline is quickly approaching as Jackson did say that it was “for sure” fair to say that he wants complete clarity on his contract status by Week 1.  When asked about it on Saturday he said :

“We’re coming up to it. It’s coming up. The season’s coming up. We’re going to be good for the season.”

  1. New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is expected to miss between 2 and 4 weeks as a result of his no contact injury sustained in Fridays pre-season game against the Eagles. The results of the MRI revealed a bone bruise and meniscus tear. He will require orthoscopic surgery to “trim” his meniscus but is not expected to need a full repair. Exact rehab schedule and timeline will be more clear post surgery.

Doctors also could find during surgery that Zach Wilson’s meniscus is worse than they thought and he could be sidelong longer. But for now, Jets feel fortunate and doctors are encouraged. https://t.co/OMv6Jpxhko — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 13, 2022
