Red Sox : Paging Craig Breslow , Dr. Craig Breslow …. Please report to the E.R. Dr. Breslow

Depending on who you're listening to, the Red Sox are either in on everyone or not in on anyone, but you can be assured we will hear “ The Red Sox were Dot Dot Dot ” from today until camps break and the team heads north. Kenta Maeda - Sonny Gray - Lance Lynn - Kyle Gibson , and Arron Nola have all signed new deals, with zero interest shown from the Red Sox to bring in any, ANY of these arms to the old town team. Arms that would upgrade a rotation that has looked more like an ICU unit than a pillar of Health over the past two plus seasons. With the winter meetings just days away ( Dec 4th - 6th Nashville ) new CBO Craig Breslow needs to leave them with an ace up his sleeve. Does he have a Wild Card in his hand ?

Blake Snell should be a top priority going into Nashville (why Nashville?) The two time Cy Young winner set a career high with 234 strikeouts last year with the Padres while compiling a 14-9 record. His 2.25 ERA was his lowest since winning his first Cy in 2018 with the Rays.

Jordan Montgomery, another lefty that could help, is already in town. Mass Live Chris Cotillo has reported Montgomery is living in Boston while his wife McKenzie is doing her residency at one of the local hospitals. Breslow should be camped out on Montgomery’s doorstep who is coming off his best season and now owns a world series ring. So if you see Jordan or his lovely wife, buy them a dunks

Yoshinobu Yamamoto - saving the best for last. Yamamoto was posted by the Orix Buffaloes of Nippon Professional Baseball last week and is said to be taking interviews via Zoom over the next week or two and then will come stateside to do in person interviews with the teams he deems in the running for his services. His former Buffaloes teammate and Boston favorite Masataka Yoshida is undoubtedly a check mark in the Red sox favor in negotiations. Back up the Brinks truck Craig.

There are for sure other names that can be mentioned here. But these three are at the top of the list for fixing what ails this red sox rotation. Lucas Giolito, old friend Eduardo Rodriguez - Marcus Stroman and of course Shohei Ohtani (listen 2 surgeries scares me to death ) would all help. But the Sox need immediate impact on the hill. The three players I've listed here are just that. Breslow needs to come away with at least one if not two of these arms of the sox intend to compete in 2024.
