Red Sox DFA Ryan Brasier

After his latest drubbing at the hands of the Last Place Cardinals Ryan Brasier was told. That was last call. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here. The Sox informed Brasier after he gave up 3 runs in 2 ⅓ innings last night, we can't serve you anymore.

Brasier came into the game with the Sox down 6-1 but clinging to hopes of another comeback victory. Brasier shattered them in an instant. He gave up a lead-off double to Lars Nootbar then sent him to third on a wild pitch. Nootbar scored moments later on a Norman Gorman ground rule double and then Nolan Arenado clubbed a two run homer to straight away center. I hope Tristan Casas got his jersey ( so bush ) but as i said before you knew it the game was out of hand. And that's been the case with Ryan Brasier for far too long.

In 2018 Brasier was lights out in helping the Sox win their 4th world series in this century. In 8 ⅔ innings of work he gave up just 1 earned run on six hits. He scattered 5 walks and struck out 7 of MLB’s best hitters. But after that glorious run. Yea the hits and homers kept on coming. In 20 appearances this season, Brasier has an ERA of 7.29 has given up 21 hits and his WHIP is a colossal 1.571.

From all accounts Ryan is a great guy, a fantastic team mate that will be missed but this move is long overdue. Most fans and media members alike wondered quite aloud what dirt Brasier had on Chaim Bloom , how he even made the opening day roster not just this year but even before 2022. I wish him nothing but the best. And thank him for 2018. But gotta go gotta go.
