Red Sox Bats Explode in 15-5 Yankee Beatdown

Justin turner have yourself a day, Masataka Yoshida have yourself a day. Red Sox Nation Have yourself a day. Standings be damned when the Red Sox beat the Yankee’s it all fades away.

Justin Turner hit two home runs, one a grand slam the other a two run shot and a double tying his career high 6 RBI mark while scoring 3 runs just for fun. Masataka Yoshida went four for four with 3 RBI and a run. And Pablo Reyes chipped in going 2-4 with 2 RBI of his own. In fact the only starter who didn't have at least one hit on the night was of all people the red hot Rafael Devers. The Sox had a season high 15 runs and 17 hits winning their third game in four matchups with their historic rivals.

Tanner Houck struck out 2 in his four innings of work while giving up just one run. Houck was cruising along in the fashion he has in his past 3 outings. When Fenway fell silent. A line drive off the bat of Kyle Higashioka struck the young hurler in the face. He immediately went to the ground clutching his right cheek. Houck left the game under his own power and gave a raised left arm letting the Fenway faithful know at least he felt he was okay. Houck later received stitches and was reported to have a bruised cheek. Alex Cora said after the game

“ He was conscious the whole time , but he got lucky”

I truly don't care what any broadcaster pundit or irrelevant yankees outfielder has to say. These games always mean something, They mean more to every Red Sox and Yankees fan than any other game of the year. And they get back to it tonight at tonight when the sox send RHP Brayan Bello ( 3-4 3.78 ) to the hill to face RHP Clark Schmit (2-6 4.70)
