Yes The Patriots are stacked at Safety. I know that. But that didn’t stop Bill the Mad Scientist of defense from bringing in Jabrill Peppers for a kick the tires visit to Gillette. Per the great Field Yates, While Bill was busy in FLA not not answering Tome Currans questions or having his picture taken at the coaches meetings . Peppers was in Foxboro getting his knee looked at and talking with whoever is not named the Defensive Coordinator and presumably Matt Groh.

Flash back to the 2017 draft.

I am super interested in Michigan’s Peppers pouring over hours of film. I watched so much late night film of this kid that my wife would come into my office to ask if I was coming to bed or staying up all night watching Safety Porn. the answer was coming to bed. Most nights. Then the Pats traded their first RD pick to the saints for Brandon Cooks. Then they moved their second round pick to the Panthers for Kney Ealey. I was devastated.

S Jabrill Peppers had 3 average years in New York but I wouldn't hold that against anyone. Giants coverage was ranked bottom half in all 3 years 💩 But Peppers last year in Cleveland in 2018 🔥🔥 18th best Safety according to PFF out of 63 (50% snap min) pic.twitter.com/mZAMPLf6Gn — Jack Duffin (@JackDuffin) March 27, 2022

Peppers was drafted by the Browns with the 25th pick in that year’s draft. And played well enough to be wanted by the Giants as part of the OBJ trade. Bravo I bet the good people of Cleveland wished that deal had never happened. As a Giant he also played well starting 30 of the 32 games he was on the field for. His 2022 season was cut short in week six with an ACL tear. The reason he is still unsigned. If the Patriots can get Peppers on a short prove it deal this is an A + signing. And would fit into the Mad Hoodies Zero position defensive backfield he is attempting to put together. Not to mention his special teams play. Lets make this happen Bill .

No guarantee Jabrill Peppers is coming to New England, but I think a Pats defense with guys like Peppers, McCourty, Phillips, Dugger, Mills, Jones, Butler, Bethel, Wade, Mitchell, Wilson, McGrone, Bledsoe, Bryant, Williams, etc, makes a lot of sense vs NFL’s high octane offenses. pic.twitter.com/1jxEsM9FGp — Dan Kelley (@DanKelley66) March 28, 2022
