There is a rumor that there is talk about NXT having an event in the UK this year. There already is an NXT brand in the UK- NXT UK, but this is not a problem for the UK brand. In fact, NXT UK can potentially benefit from it. NXT UK could be utilized in an interesting way, with members of the UK brand going against members of the multicolored brand.
NXT UK has not existed for very long. It was only five years ago in 2017 that the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament took place, shining the spotlight on independent wrestling in the UK in a way that had never been done before. That was followed a few months later by the United Kingdom Championship Special. The next year, a second United Kingdom Championship Tournament took place, followed by WWE NXT UK making its debut in 2018.
Since that time, NXT UK has grown steadily but quickly, featuring a roster of talents that are well known in the UK (such as Ilja Dragunov and Jinny) as well as internationally (such as Tyler Bate and Meiko Satomura). Involving NXT UK talents in an NXT event in the UK may draw enough new eyeballs to the NXT UK product to give it a major boost.
Alba Fyre vs. Meiko Satomura could be the headliner, with Satomura as WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion, and Fyre as WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Fyre in the main event would help to draw the UK fans to this NXT brand event. She could drop the championship back to Mandy Rose post-event if NXT management prefers for the championship to be on Rose currently.
