Not so Even Stevens

This needed to be digested and also isn’t official as of now.  Celtics GM Brad Stevens improves the roster by trading with the Pacers for former Rookie Of the year Malcolm Brogdon for a collection of players and a 1st round pick.

BLOCKBUSTER trade for #Celtics, per @wojespn: Malcolm Brogdon to Boston. Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith a 2023 first-round pick, Nik Stauskas, Malik Fitts and Juwan Morgan to Indiana. Win-now mode for Brad Stevens. — Adam Kaufman (@AdamMKaufman) July 1, 2022

The reaction around the league might be the best part for the Celtics and fans.

I'm writing away, but @talkhoops has your instant Brogdon trade reaction at @TheAthleticWISC: https://t.co/UwlTbm1JxH — Eric Nehm (@eric_nehm) June 30, 2019

Stevens has put together a roster better than the one that walked off the court after Game # 6 of the NBA Finals with some moves still to come.

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Rob Williams, Al Horford, Malcolm Brogdon, Derrick White, Danilo Gallinari, Grant Williams, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Luke Kornet. As of now, #Celtics still have three open roster spots and two available two-way contracts to offer. — Adam Kaufman (@AdamMKaufman) July 2, 2022

What is left?  I’d be looking for a Robert Williams-lite-type center, give me Hassan Whiteside.  Another perimeter player who can knock down shots, preferably with a little size- T.J Warren coming off two injury-riddled seasons.  Remember him in the bubble.
