To no surprise, the Colorado Avalanche is the favorite to win the 2022 Stanley Cup Title. They are loaded on offense and the blueline. Darcy Kuemper is a much better goalie than Philipp Grubauer was for them last year. The Western Conference isn’t as strong as the Eastern Conference is.

They can have Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, and Brayden Point as great as they want, but goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has to play well in order for them to three-peat. They don’t have the depth like they did the last two years or the defense for that matter.
The only thing getting in the way of a three-peat is that they start up scraps a lot and can lead to bad timely penalties and it is also hard to win three years in a row.

As good as Jonathan Huberdeau has been this year, Aleksander Barkov remains the most important player on this hockey team. His two-way game is tremendous. They have four lines that can score at any moment. Florida is one of the best teams in the NHL at home.
Sergei Bobrovsky is solid in the net. Their downfall could be playing just ordinary on the road.
