NBA Regular Season Is Back



The NBA Regular Season returned on Tuesday, October 18 with two games on tap on TNT. The Golden State Warriors received their championship rings before their contest against the Los Angeles Lakers.


It was a nice ring ceremony for Golden State and many wondered if it was going to be a distraction for them or not. It turned out not to be a distraction for the Warriors in the end as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 123-109.


Stephen Curry proved in this game why he was the NBA Finals MVP a season ago. He scored 33 points and shot 45.5% from the field. Curry also shot 30.8% from 3-point land and also grabbed six rebounds, recorded seven assists, and recorded four steals as well.


On the other sideline, Lebron James is still proving to the Los Angeles Lakers why he is still one of the Top 5 players in the entire world. James scored 31 points on 48% shooting from the field. He also grabbed 14 rebounds and recorded eight assists. The Lakers will be lucky to be a Top 8 team in the Western Conference this season, but his greatness can not be ignored throughout the 2022-2023 NBA regular season.

The other game on Tuesday night featured the Philadelphia 76ers and the defending Eastern Conference Champions, the Boston Celtics. Boston defeated Philadelphia by a final score of 126-117.


The Celtics were led by the duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. It is one of the best tandems in the NBA. Tatum and Brown each scored 35 points for Boston and it was a big night for both of them. Jayson Tatum shot 65% from the field and Jaylen Brown shot 58.3% from the field.


Tatum also grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded four assists and Brown also grabbed three rebounds and recorded two assists.


The duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid was very effective for the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden scored 35 points on 55.6% shooting from the field for Philadelphia. He also grabbed eight rebounds and recorded seven assists. Embiid shot 50% from the field and also grabbed 15 rebounds and recorded five assists.


Joe Mazzulla coached in his first game for the Boston Celtics after Ime Udoka has been suspended for an entire year by the organization and Doc Rivers of the Philadelphia 76ers was outcoached all game long.


Next Games: The Philadelphia 76ers (0-1) next game will be at home against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, October 20.


The Boston Celtics (1-0) next game will be on the road against the Miami Heat on Friday, October 21.


Los Angeles's (0-1) next game will be at home against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, October 20.


Golden State's (1-0) next game will be against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, October 21.
