The NBA Draft Lottery will take place on Tuesday, May 17th. The Oklahoma City Thunder, the Indiana Pacers, the Orlando Magic, the Detroit Pistons, and the Houston Rockets are the top five favorites to land the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. It will be a good NBA Draft this year. Some of these teams have a long way to go in restoring their franchise. What are some of the odds for the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft via BETUS?

Jabari Smith -110

It is interesting that he has the minus odds to be the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He is a freshman coming out of Auburn and also has the best odds to be the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Jabari Smith has a lot of upside. He is 6’0″ and weighs 220 lbs. Smith played in 34 games last season with Auburn. He averaged 16.9 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.0 BPG, and 1.1 SPG. Jabari Smith is a little bit raw also.

Chet Holmgren +135

Chet Holmgren is a very skinny player but his height is not teachable. He has the second-best odds to be the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. In 32 games with Gonzaga this year, he averaged 14.1 PPG, 9.9 RPG, 1.9 APG, 3.7 BPG, and 0.8 SPG. Holmgren needs to put more muscle for the next level or he will be pushed around otherwise. Chet Holmgren is 7’0″ and weighs 195 lbs. He is coming out as a freshman. Holmgren has executives believing that he is the best player in the 2022 NBA Draft. We will see though however.

Paolo Banchero +375

Paolo Banchero has the third-best odds to be the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He made his mark in the NCAA tournament for Duke as a freshman. Banchero was one of the reasons why they made it to the Final Four before losing to North Carolina. He feels like the most NBA ready prospect at 6’10” and 250 lbs. Paolo Banchero played in 39 games last season and averaged 17.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.2 APG, 0.9 BPG, and 1.1 SPG. He also has the IQ and other tools necessary to succeed in the NBA for the 2022 Draft.

Jaden Ivey +4000

Jaden Ivey has the fourth-best odds to be the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and it is a total longshot. He is a sophomore coming out of Purdue, who is 6’4″ 195 lbs. In 36 games played last season with Purdue, he averaged 17.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 3.1 APG, 0.6 BPG, and 0.9 SPG. They lost to Saint Peter’s in the Sweet 16.
