Leach was in his 3rd season with the #24 Bulldogs and was coming fresh off a rivalry Egg Bowl win over Ole Miss. The Bulldogs will play against Illinois in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Florida. Leach has an overall record of 158-107 in his head coaching career having stops at Texas Tech, Washington State, and now Mississippi State. Leach took both Texas Teach and Washington State further than they ever been getting both teams their only 11-win season ever in program history.
