Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #28

The Official Michinoku Pro Wrestling Channel is now presenting Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #28, the latest edition of their YouTube program. Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE shows take place at the Michinoku Pro Dojo in Iwate, Japan.

Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country. Michinoku Pro hosts shows at their dojo regularly but occasionally will stream a show live via YouTube as well.

Match 1: Ringo Yamatani vs. Ayumu Gunji vs. Taro Nohashi

This match features three generations of the Michinoku Pro roster. Current Generation (Taro Nohashi): A former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion, a four-time Tohoku Tag Team Champion, and a well-established member of the Michinoku Pro roster. New Generation (Ayumu Gunji): A two-time former Tohoku Tag Team Champion and former UWA World Tag Team Champion who is hungry to make his mark as a singles wrestler as well. And what would best be described as the Rookie Generation (Ringo Yamatani): Two months into his career and already showing a fighting spirit.

Match 2: MUSASHI & Koji Kawamura vs. Yapper Man 2 & Rui Hyugaji

The war between the New Generation and Current Generation of Michinoku Pro will continue in this match. A two-time Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion, MUSASHI is accomplished as tag wrestler as well, with a Tohoku Tag Team Championship reign on his resume. Koji Kawamura has teamed with MUSASHI often. On the opposite side of the ring, Yapper Man 2 is one-half of the longest-reigning UWA World Tag Team Champions in history and has held the championship a record five times with Yapper Man 1, and they also have co-held the Tohoku Tag Team Championship on two occasions, with their second reign being the second-longest reign in the championship’s history. And even though Rui Hyugaji has been more focused on his singles career in recent years (where he has seen the most success), Hyugaji has captured both the Tohoku Tag Team Championship and UWA World Tag Team Championship during his career.
