Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #25

The Official Michinoku Pro Wrestling Channel is now presenting Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #25, the latest edition of their YouTube program. Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE shows take place at the Michinoku Pro Dojo in Iwate, Japan.

Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country. Michinoku Pro hosts shows at their dojo regularly but occasionally will stream a show live via YouTube as well.

There is one match on this episode, and it’s a six man tag match in which the team of Ayumu Gunji, Kikutaro, and MUSASHI face the team of  Koji Kawamura, Kuishinbo Kamen, and Ringo Yamatani.

As a former two-time Tohoku Tag Team Champion and former UWA World Tag Team Champion, tag matches are the style of match that Ayumu Gunji shines in. Currently a freelance wrestler, Kikutaro has been seen in a multitude of notable promotions all over the world, including Michinoku Pro, NJPW, Impact Wrestling, ROH, PWG, NOAH, AJPW, CHIKARA, Dragon Gate, DDT, BJW, FMW, ZERO1, JWP, and WAVE. Although MUSASHI stands at the top of the Michinoku Pro mountain as Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion in his second reign, he is accomplished as a tag wrestler as well, a Tohoku Tag Team Championship reign on his resume.

Koji Kawamura is very comfortable in tag matches as a result of teaming often with his fellow New Generation members. Freelance wrestler Kuishinbo Kamen is the most successful on his team in six man tag matches, a UWA World Trios Championship reign on Kamen’s resume. Ringo Yamatani’s career is less than a month old, but he has already been in the ring in singles matches with top competitors such as MUSASHI and former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion and current Triple Crown Tag Champion Taro Nohashi.
