The Official Michinoku Pro Wrestling Channel is now presenting Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #22, the latest edition of their YouTube program. Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE shows take place at the Michinoku Pro Dojo in Iwate, Japan.
Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country. Michinoku Pro hosts shows at their dojo regularly but occasionally will stream a show live via YouTube as well.
Match 1: Minoru Fujita & Yuna Mizumori vs. Koji Kawamura & MUSASHI
There are special guests in the dojo this episode for both matches. In the first match, Minoru Fujita & Yuna Mizumori will face Michinoku Pro’s Koji Kawamura and Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion Musashi. Although not a member of the Michinoku Pro roster, Fujita is a big part of the promotion’s history, as he and Ikuto Hidaka held the Tohoku Tag Team Championship for a record length of 725 days during their first reign, and also unified it with the UWA World Tag Team Championship. Mizumori is a talent from Emi Sakura’s Gatoh Move promotion, where she is a two-time Asia Dream Tag Team Champion.
Meanwhile, MUSASHI and Koji Kawamura are both members of the New Generation faction, wanting to be a dominant force in Michinoku Pro. It’s a safe bet that they don’t take kindly to the idea of successful “outsiders” being in “their” territory.
Match 2: Ayumu Gunji vs. Ken Ohka
Ayumu Gunji is another member of New Generation who will be on this episode, and he will be going against Ken Ohka, who is mainly seen in DDT where his accomplishments include the KO-D Openweight Championship. Gunji and Ohka pushed each other to their limits in this match.
