The Official Michinoku Pro Wrestling Channel is now presenting Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #21, the latest edition of their YouTube program. Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE shows take place at the Michinoku Pro Dojo in Iwate, Japan.
Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country. Michinoku Pro hosts shows at their dojo regularly but occasionally will stream a show live via YouTube as well.
Match 1: Rui Hyugaji vs. Koji Kawamura
Rui Hyugaji is the longest-reigning Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion of all time, and with Koji Kawamura being a member of New Generation, a group of young wrestlers that consider themselves to be the new generation of Michinoku Pro, a win over Hyugaji would make a strong statement on the behalf of New Generation as they continue to battle with the established members of the roster.
Match 2: Taro Nohashi vs. MUSASHI
This is a match between two champions of Michinoku Pro, as former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion and current Triple Crown Tag Champion Taro Nohashi goes against current Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion MUSASHI. This is a competitive tune-up match as MUSASHI prepares to put his championship on the line next month against BJW Junior Heavyweight Champion Kazuki Hashimoto. This will be MUSASHI’s third defense in his second reign since winning the championship last year. One of his successful defenses was against former AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kaz Hayashi.
Meanwhile, Taro Nohashi and his tag team partner GAINA recently successfully defended the Triple Crown Tag Championship at the March 19 Michinoku Pro event against Koji Kawamura & Yasutaka Oosera, two members of the New Generation faction, which MUSASHI is also a member of.
