Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #18

The Official Michinoku Pro Wrestling Channel is now presenting Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE #18, the latest edition of their YouTube program. Michinoku Pro Wrestling LIVE shows take place at the Michinoku Pro Dojo in Iwate, Japan.

Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country. Michinoku Pro hosts shows at their dojo regularly but occasionally will stream a show live via YouTube as well.

There is one match on this episode, and it’s a, “Best Two Out Of Three Falls” match in which the team of Brahman Kei, Brahman Shu, and Jinsei Shinzaki face the team of Ayumu Gunji, Koji Kawamura, and MUSASHI

Like the matches on the previous episode, this match involves the established members of the Michinoku Pro roster and the younger, self-proclaimed, “new generation of Michinoku Pro” that has been battling against them since last year.

Brahman Kei & Shu have been teaming together for 19 years, and have seen six man tag team success during that period, being former KO-D Six Man Tag Team Champions and former Yokohama Shopping Street Six Man Tag Team Champions. Jinsei Shinzaki is a cornerstone of Michinoku Pro and has won the Tohoku Tag Team Championship a record five times with four different partners.

Tag team wrestling is one of Ayumu Gunji’s strengths, as he has held the Tohoku Tag Team Championship on two occasions, as well as the UWA World Tag Team Championship. Koji Kawamura is becoming more comfortable in tag team matches in recent months as he has been seeing a lot of tag action while teaming with his fellow new generation members. MUSASHI has been standing at the top of the Michinoku Pro mountain since July as Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion in his second reign, and he also has tag team success on his resume as well, as a former Tohoku Tag Team Champion, with current new generation ally Gunji as his partner.
