Michinoku Pro 7/16/22 Yahaba Town Event! July series!

The wrestlers of Michinoku Pro will be in action on July 16 at Yahaba Townspeople General Gymnasium in Yahaba Town, Iwate (6:00 PM start time), as a part of July series. Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country.

In the main event, the current generation of Michinoku Pro will go head to head with members of New Generation, as 2-time former Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion and former NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champion Fujita Jr. Hayato, former Tohoku Tag Team Champion and former UWA World Trios Champion Ken45, and second longest-reigning Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion of all time and former Tohoku Tag Team Champion Manabu Murakami battle Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion MUSASHI, the newest member of New Generation Kazuki Hashimoto, and Koji Kawamura.

New Generation considers themselves dominant over the current and well-established generation of the Michinoku Pro roster, and they will have an opportunity to attempt to prove it as they go against three of Michinoku Pro’s finest. Although MUSASHI stands at the top of the Michinoku Pro mountain as Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion in his second reign, he is accomplished as a tag wrestler as well, with a Tohoku Tag Team Championship reign on his resume. Koji Kawamura has teamed with MUSASHI often, and Kazuki Hashimoto is a 2-time former Yokohama Shopping Street Six Man Tag Team Champion,

A bigger story here though is that two weeks before this event, MUSASHI will be putting the Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Championship on the line against Fujita Jr. Hayato in a historical match on July 1 at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall, the Madison Square Garden of Japan. On July 16, will MUSASHI enter Yahaba Townspeople General Gymnasium with the championship still around his waist after another successful defense? Or will Fujita Jr. Hayato arrive as the new Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion, two weeks into his third reign?
