Michinoku Pro will present a special event on May 8 at Takizawa City Workers’ Physical Education Center in Takizawa City, Iwate (1:00 PM start time). Existing since 1993, Michinoku Pro was created with Iwate in mind, so many events in Iwate feature matches that are not seen anywhere else in the country.
A fighting champion, Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Champion MUSASHI puts his title on the line against top competitors no matter who they are or where they are located. In December, MUSASHI traveled to Tokyo, where he successfully defended his title against former AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kaz Hayashi at a GLEAT event. At the March 6 Michinoku Pro event, MUSASHI successfully defended it against one of his allies. With every defense, he raises the value of the championship to new heights.

At the March 19 Michinoku Pro event, MUSASHI selected a new challenger to his Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Championship, and that person is Kazuki Hashimoto, a top talent in BJW, a promotion that is home to some of the toughest junior heavyweights in the industry. Hashimoto is a former BJW Junior Heavyweight Champion, with his reign being 266 days in length, which at the time of this writing is the third-longest reign in the history of the championship. Hashimoto wants the Tohoku Junior Heavyweight Championship to be polished when he arrives on May 8, because Hashimoto has every intention of leaving Tohoku with it.

We will have a bit of a preview of this match when Michinoku Pro comes to Sendai on May 7, when MUSASHI and Kazuki Hashimoto will be on opposite sides of the ring in tag team action.
