Miami Dolphins Beat Pittsburgh Steelers

The Miami Dolphins had their foot on the gas pedal in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Miami was begging Pittsburgh to take the game from them in the second half. On the last Steelers drive, Kenny Pickett was picked off by Noah Igbinoghene with 18 seconds remaining in regulation time. Miami hung on for a 16-10 win over Pittsburgh.

Tua Tagovailoa made his first start for the Dolphins in a couple of weeks for them since the concussion. Miami's offense looked in sync for the first few drives of the football game and then they took their foot off the gas pedal for some strange reason. Head coach Mike McDaniel has to be happy to have his starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa back though.

Tua Tagovailoa threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Raheem Mostert on the opening drive of the football game. Tagovailoa completed 21-of-35 passes for 261 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 15 yards on four carries.

Mostert was Miami's leading rusher with 79 yards on 16 carries. He also caught four passes for 30 yards receiving and one touchdown.

Jaylen Waddle caught four passes for 88 yards receiving and Tyreek Hill also caught seven passes for 72 yards receiving for the Dolphins. This receiving core when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy hits different and they can be a force in the AFC.

The Miami Dolphins also picked off Kenny Pickett three times. Miami and Pittsburgh didn't give up a single point in the second half. At the current moment, the Dolphins are the sixth seed in the AFC and the Steelers would have a Top 5 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

These are two football franchises trending in different directions also.

The Miami Dolphins (4-3) next game will be on the road next Sunday 10/30 against the Detroit Lions (1-5).

The Pittsburgh Steelers (2-5) next game will be on the road next Sunday 10/30 against the Philadelphia Eagles (6-0).
