LeBron James Stands Alone With 39,000 Points

The King has checked off another box on the list!

LeBron James keeps creating history and now has set another milestone that may never be broken.

After breaking the 39-year-old all-time scoring record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar last season, James, Tuesday night, against the Utah Jazz, put another stamp on his legacy and now is in a class of his own. He sits atop Mount Everest as the only player in NBA history to reach 39,000 points.

Before Tuesday's match-up against the Jazz, James only needed 5 points to eclipse the 39,000 mark. In just 24 minutes of action, James delivered 17 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds as the Lakers destroyed the Utah Jazz 131-99.

LeBron has been on a tear in his 21st season with the Lakers. The 38-year-old will be celebrating his 39th birthday at the end of the year, and let's just say father time is nowhere to be found.

James is averaging 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. Not only that, James is also shooting at a high percentage. He is shooting a career-high 58.6% from the floor and 40% from the 3-point range which, is the 2nd time in his career he shot 40%. The first time as a member of the Miami Heat in 2012/13.

If LeBron continues to play at an elite level and stays healthy, he will reach 40,000 points during the season, a feat I believe no current players or players in the future will ever break.
