Kansas City Chiefs: Wide Receiver Draft Options

Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach is going to be a very busy man in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. Kansas City has not made many moves this offseason, other than trading away wide receiver Tyreek Hill for five future draft picks. The Chiefs will hold two first-round picks in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft.

Kansas City has the 29th and 30th overall picks in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. One of the biggest needs they will have is the wide receiver position with Tyreek Hill not being there anymore. Some of the current wide receivers on the roster are Juju Smith-Schuster, Marquez-Valdes Scantling, and Mecole Hardman Jr.

The Chiefs also need help on the defensive side of the football. They need to add another pass rusher and another safety because the entire AFC West is getting better. The Los Angeles Chargers, the Denver Broncos, and the Las Vegas Raiders have made improvements to their roster. Who are some of the wide receiver prospects the Kansas City Chiefs could take on?

Skyy Moore, Western Michigan

He is only 5’10” and weighs 195lbs, but is very fast. Skyy Moore can take on the speed level role like Tyreek Hill did with the Kansas City Chiefs. He could potentially be a home run hitter for them. Moore caught 95 passes for 1,292 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns this past season with the Western Michigan Broncos.

Christian Watson, North Dakota State

He is 6’5″ and weighs 208 lbs. Christian Watson is a player who has a big body frame and will be a headache to deal with in traffic. He can run excellent routes and Watson would become a number one receiver immediately for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jahan Dotson, Penn State

He is 5’11” and weighs 184 lbs. Jahan Dotson is a speed demon. He can catch passes on the outside and play in the slot, along with playing special teams on kickoff returns and punt returns. Dotson caught 91 passes for 1,182 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. He would be a very intriguing player for the Kansas City Chiefs to draft here.
