NEW YORK YANKEES (25-9)
Luis Gil took the mound against the White Sox in the first of four in Guaranteed Rate Field. He lasted four innings, struck out five, and gave up four runs. The outing wasn’t what the Yankees hoped for since they don’t have a day off until the 29th. Jonathan Loaisiga gave up the tying run in his outing. The offense got his back though. Giancarlo Stanton went 3-for-4 with a walk and two home runs. Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run. Josh Donaldson went 2-for-5 with a home run. Kyle HIgashioka went 2-for-3. The Yankees ran away with this game 15-7.
Gerrit Cole took the mound for game two. He pitched 6.1 innings, struck out nine, and gave up three runs. Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a walk and another fielding error. Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with two walks and a home run. Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run. Joey Gallo went 2-for-5 with a home run. Gleyber Torres went 2-for-5. The Yanks won 10-4.
Jordan Montgomery took the mound in game three. He pitched 4.1 innings, struck out four, and gave up two runs. Stanton went 3-for-4. Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-4. The Yankees lost 3-2.
Nestor Cortes pitched eight innings, struck out seven, and gave up one run. Joey Gallo hit his 5th home run of the season. Kiner-Falefa went 1-for-4. That was it. The Yankees just needed two hits to win 5-1.

The next stop for the Yankees is Baltimore for four games. Luis Severino, Jameson Taillon, Gerrit Cole, and Jordan Montgomery are scheduled to pitch.
BOSTON RED SOX (13-21)
Nick Pivetta took the mound against the Rangers. He pitched seven innings, struck out four, and gave up one run. J.D. Martinez went 2-for-4 with a walk. Xander Bogaerts went 2-for-5. Alex Verdugo went 1-for-3 but was removed from the game due to a foot contusion. The Sox won 7-1.
Rich Hill returned to the rotation to pitch game two. He lasted six innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs; two earned. Martinez went 2-for-3 with two walks and a home run. Rafael Devers, Bobby Dalbec, and Christian Vazquez each went 2-for-5. Franchy Cordero went 2-for-4 with a walk. The Sox ran away with the win 11-3.
Austin Davis was the opener. He pitched two scoreless innings and struck out two. Devers went 3-for-4. Martinez went 1-for-4. He is currently on a 15-game hitting streak. The Sox lost 7-1.
The Astros come into town for a three-game set. Garrett Whitlock, Nathan Eovaldi, and Nick Pivetta are scheduled to pitch.
TAMPA BAY RAYS (21-14)
David Rasmussen pitched 5.2 innings, struck out one, and gave up one run against the BLue Jays. Brandon Lowe went 2-for-4. Mike Zunino went 2-for-3. The Rays won 5-2 and took second place in the standings.
Ryan Yarbrough pitched 3.2 innings, struck out two, and gave up one run. Yandy Diaz hit his third home run of the season. Manuel Margot went 2-for-3. Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4. The Rays lost 5-1.
Jeffrey Springs pitched 4.2 scoreless innings and struck out two. Ji-Man Choi went 1-for-4. Wander Franco went 1-for-4. The Rays won 3-0.
The Tigers come into town for three games. Corey Kluber, Shane McClanahan, and Drew Rasmussen are scheduled to pitch.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS (18-17)
Kevin Gausman pitched against the Rays in Tropicana. He pitched seven innings, struck out eight, and gave up four runs; three earned. George Springer left the game early from a sprained ankle. Raimel Tapia filled in and went 2-for-2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr went 1-for-4. The Jays lost 5-2.
Hyun Ryu returned from the IL and pitched 3.2 innings, struck out three, and gave up one run. Teoscar Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a home run. Santiago Espinal went 2-for-3. The Jays won 5-1.
Alek Manoah pitched six innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs; one earned. Alejandro Kirk went 1-for-3. George Springer went 0-for-4. Matt Chapman went 0-for-2 with a walk. The Jays lost 3-0.
The Mariners come into town for three games. Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, and Kevin Gausman are scheduled to pitch.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES (14-21)
Jordan Lyles faced the Tigers in game one. He pitched 5.2 innings, struck out six, and gave up four runs. Trey Mancini hit his second home run of the season. Anthony Santander hit his fourth home run of the season. Cedric Mullins went 2-for-5. The O’s lost 4-2.
Bruce Zimmermann pitched six innings, struck out two, and gave up three runs; two earned. Tyler Nevin went 1-for-3. Ramon Urias went 1-for-4. The O’s lost 3-0.
Tyler Wells pitched four innings, struck out two, and gave up three. Mancini hit his third home run of the season. Ryan McKenna went 1-for-3. The O’s lost 5-1.
The Yankees come into town for a four-game set. Kyle Bradish, Spenser Watkins, Jordan Lyles, and Bruce Zimmermann are scheduled to pitch.
