Jordan Montgomery pitched 2.1 innings, struck out three, and gave up five runs against the Mets. Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a home run. Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a home run. Aaron Hicks went 2-for-3 with a walk. We will not discuss the Joey Gallo pinch-hitting move. The Yankees lost 6-3.
Domingo German pitched 4.2 innings, struck out seven, and gave up two runs. Gleyber Torres hit his 16th home run of the year. DJ LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a walk. The Yankees lost 3-2.
The Royals come into town for four games. Jameson Taillon, Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, and Jordan Montgomery are scheduled to pitch.
BOSTON RED SOX (50-50)
Nick Pivetta pitched 5.2 innings, struck out six, and gave up one run against the Guardians. Xander Bogaerts went 1-for-4. The Red Sox won 3-1.
Josh Winckowski pitched three innings, struck out one, and gave up five runs. Bogaerts went 3-for-4. The Sox lost 8-3.
Nathan Eovaldi pitched six innings, struck out one, and gave up five runs; four earned. Bobby Dalbec went 2-for-3 with two home runs. Alex Verdugo went 2-for-4. The Sox lost 7-6.
Kutter Crawford pitched 5.2 innings, struck out two, and gave up one run. Bogaerts went 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run. The Sox won 4-2.

Corey Kluber pitched five innings, struck out two, and gave up five runs; four earned against the Orioles. Brandon Lowe hit his 6th home run of the year. Francisco Mejia went 2-for-4. The Rays lost 5-1.
Shane McClanahan pitched seven innings, struck out seven, and gave up two runs. Isaac Paredes went 2-for-3 with a walk and home run. The Rays lost 5-3.
Drew Rasmussen pitched 4.2 innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs; two earned. Ji-Man Choi hit his 8th home run. Luke Raley went 2-for-4 with a home run. Yandy Diaz went 3-for-5. The Rays won 6-4.
Ryan Yarbrough pitched six innings, struck out eight, and gave up one run. Josh Lower went 1-for-3 with a walk. The Rays lost 3-0.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS (55-44)
Jose Berrios pitched 5.2 innings, struck out seven, and gave up three runs to the Cardinals. George Springer went 3-for-5 with a home run. Bo BIchette went 2-for-4. The Jays won 10-3.
Kevin Gausman pitched 4.2 innings, struck out six, and gave up five runs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr went 2-for-4. The Jays lost 6-1.
The Tigers come into town for four games. Yusei Kikuchi will return from the IL and start game one. Alek Manoah, Ross Stripling, and Jose Berrios are also scheduled to pitch.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES (50-49)
Austin Voth pitched three innings, struck out two, and gave up one run against the Rays. Ramon Urias went 2-for-4. The O’s won 5-1.
Spenser Watkins pitched 5.1 innings, struck out four, and gave up three runs. Cedric Mullins, Anthony Santander, and Urias all homered. The O’s won 5-3.
Tyler Wells pitched 4.1 innings, struck out five, and gave up four runs. Jorge Mateo went 2-for-4 with a home run. Trey Mancini went 2-for-4 with a walk. The O’s lost 6-4.
Jordan Lyles pitched 5.2 scoreless innings and struck out four. Mancini hit an inside-the-park home run in what could be his last home game as an Oriole. Anthony Santander went 2-for-4. The O’s won 3-0.
