Jordan Montgomery pitched 6.2 innings, struck out six, and gave up five runs against the A’s. Anthony Rizzo hit his 20th home run of the year. Giancarlo Stanton hit his 18th home run of the year. Marwin Gonzalez went 2-for-4. The Yanks won 9-5.
J.P. Sears pitched 5.2 scoreless innings and struck out one. Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a home run. The Yanks won 2-1.
Jameson Taillon pitched five innings, struck out six, and gave up three runs. The numbers don’t show it but he struggled. Aaron Judge hit his 29th home run of the year. Stanton hit his 19th home run. The Yankees won 5-3.

The Yankees start a long road trip before their next day off. They stop in Houston for one game to play against the Astros. Then to Cleveland to face the Guardians.
BOSTON RED SOX (43-33)
Connor Seabold pitched 4.2 innings, struck out seven, and gave up seven runs against the Blue Jays. Alex Verdugo went 2-for-4. Christain Vazquez went 2-for-4. Bobby Dalbec went 2-for-4. The Sox lost 7-2.
Michael Wacha pitched five innings, struck out two, and gave up four runs. Rob Refsnyder went 2-for-5 with a home run. Trevor Story hit his 12th home run of the year. The Sox lost a heartbreaker 6-5.
Nick Pivetta pitched six innings, struck out five, and gave up two runs. Verdugo went 2-for-4 with a home run. Franchy Cordero went 4-for-5. The Sox won 6-5.

The next stop on the road trip is Chicago to face the Cubs. Rich Hill and Josh Winckowski are scheduled to pitch.
TAMPA BAY RAYS (40-34)
Shane Baz pitched 5.2 innings, struck out six, and struck out one against the Brewers. Yandy Diaz went 2-for-3 with a walk. Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4. The Rays lost 5-3.
Jalen Beeks pitched two innings, struck out four, and gave up one run. Harold Ramirez went 2-for-4. Francisco Mejia went 2-for-4. The Rays lost 5-3.
The Rays head to Toronto for a four-game set.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS (42-33)
Kevin Gausman pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out 10 against the Red Sox. George Springer hit his 14th home run of the year. Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit his 18th home run of the year. Matt Chapman hit his 11th of the year. The Jays won 7-2.
Ross Stripling pitched five innings, struck out three, and gave up two runs. Teoscar Hernandez went 2-for-4. Santiago Espinal went 2-for-4. The Jays won 6-5.

The Rays come into town for four games. Jose Berrios is scheduled to pitch.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES (35-42)
Tyler Wells pitched five innings, struck out three, and gave up one run against the Mariners. Adley Ritschman went 2-for-5 with a home run. Austin Hays went 2-for-4. Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with a walk. The O’s won 9-2.
Dean Kremer pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out five. The Only hit the offense has was by Ryan Mountcastle. The O’s lost 2-0.
Austin Voth pitched three innings, struck out two, and gave up three runs; one earned. Mullins went 2-for-3 with two walks. Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with a walk. The O’s lost 9-3.
The O’s head to Minnesota to face the Twins. Spenser Watkins, Jordan Lyles, and Tyler Wells are scheduled to pitch.
