Year one: Split backfield where he gets around half the carries & receiving skillset is utilized on third downs
Year two: Split backfield, 50+ catches with receiving skillset being a big part of teams offense
Year three: Primary running back option, not necessarily a bell cow back, but should lead the team in touches if healthy
Pro comp: Jerrick McKinnon
Personal notes: Receiving ability is the biggest selling point to his game. Has good hands, elusiveness with the ball in his hands, and can line up in the slot or out wide. 300+ receiving yards in all three seasons of career. Ability to change speeds is amongst the best in the class. Forces defenders to miss him even when they have a good angle to tackle him. Big play ability is very good. Can separate from some DBs in the open field, hoke run type of speed. Has good vision to know when and where to make cuts to get into the open field. Not utilized in pass protection a whole lot due to his receiving ability, but still something he’ll need to improve upon. Had a bad rep against Texas letting a free rusher come up the middle and sack Bryce Young. Not likely to ever be a great pass blocker as he’s just 5’ 8 ½”, 199 LBS, but will need to improve his recognition in pass protection.
