Information on Frank Lowman, the Opponent of Veer Mahaan on, “WWE RAW” This Week

Many fans took note of Frank Lowman during his match with Veer Mahaan this week on, “WWE RAW”. Although it was the first time that many of them had seen Lowman, he is not a new face on the pro-wrestling scene. In fact, Lowman has been wrestling for more than 12 years (usually as, “Rex Lawless”), and he has had a lot of exposure in mid-level independent promotions over the years.

The first notable independent promotion that Frank Lowman wrestled for (as Rex Lawless) was the New Jersey-based Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), competing in the dark match of CZW Cerebral 2012. He also wrestled for the NWA that year, taking part in their NWA Coastal Bragging Rights II event.

Frank Lowman began appearing in CZW again from 2014 – 2015, originally as Rex Lawless and later as “Pectoral Poseidon”, sometimes appearing on CZW Pay-Per-View events, but usually taking part in the “CZW Dojo Wars”, series of live events. One of his opponents was Lennon Duffy, who later became known as WWE star Lio Rush.

From 2016 – 2018, Frank Lowman began appearing in the New York-based Northeast Wrestling, once again wrestling as Rex Lawless. However, he spent more time appearing in the Pennsylvania-based CHIKARA, where he wrestled as, “Rick Roland”. Tag teaming with Sloan Caprice (who has appeared in NXT as Mitch Taverna and in AEW as Mike Verna) they made a major impact, both in the ring and in promos. Known as “The Closers”, they watched the back of their boss, Big Deal (best known as former WWE star, “Hornswoggle”), and captured the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas Championship and became the fourth longest-reigning champions in the history of the championship. In 2018 and 2019, Roland also had singles matches in CHIKARA.

In 2021, Frank Lowman’s (as Rex Lawless) career went to another level, as he made appearances for AEW. In March, Lawless teamed with Milk Chocolate (Brandon Watts & Randy Summers) to face The Gunn Club on, “AEW Dark; Elevation“. The next day, he teamed with Dean Alexander to go against The Jurrasic Express on, “AEW Dark“. Lawless returned to AEW in June to face Lance Archer on, “AEW Dark“.

These days, Rex Lawless can usually be seen in the Massachusetts-based Beyond Wrestling and the New York-based New York Wrestling Connection (NYWC), two promotions where he has been wrestling for years. Lawless has been very successful in NYWC, where he has been a 2-time NYWC Heavyweight Champion, 4-time NYWC Tag Team Champion, and former NYWC Fusion Champion.

However, it would not be surprising to see Frank Lowman appear in WWE again in the future, and there is no doubt that he would be very happy to do it.
