Information on Angelica Risk, the Opponent of Serena Deeb on, “AEW Rampage” Last Week

Last week on “AEW Rampage”, Angelica Risk made her national television debut in a match against Serena Deeb. It was called a, “Five Minute Rookie Challenge” match.

Angelica Risk’s career began last year. She trained at Nightmare Factory, a Georgia-based wrestling school owned and operated by AEW star QT Marshall. Former AEW TNT Champion Cody Rhodes and former WCW star Glacier are trainers there. On Glacier’s podcast, “Breaking the Ice with Glacier Ray Lloyd” last year, Glacier commented that Risk did, “a great job” during her training.

Angelica Risk had her debut match in spring 2021, wrestling as, “Spencer Kitz” on a show hosted by Nightmare Factory. In July 2021, she made her AEW debut versus Red Velvet on an episode of, “AEW Dark: Elevation“.

In August 2021, Angelica Risk faced Julia Hart, who was her partner at the Nightmare Factory show earlier that year, on an episode of, “AEW Dark“. Two days later, Risk experienced the independent scene, wrestling in the Georgia-based Southern Honor Wrestling (SHW), where she had a match with Reka Tehaka, who also trained at Nightmare Factory and has matches in AEW. Risk also competed in the North Carolina-based American Lucha Wrestling (ALW) that month.

In September 2021, Angelica Risk returned to AEW, facing Jade Cargill on an episode of, “AEW Dark“. Later that month, she returned to the independent circuit, wrestling on a show produced by NFT maker Lucha Libre Knockout, where she teamed with Bobby Flaco (who wrestled on an episode of, “WWE 205 Live” in 2020) and Carlie Bravo (who wrestles for AEW) to go against Blanco Loco (who has had matches in NXT in 2018, 2019, and 2021), Dream Girl Ellie (who has appeared in NXT as Ellie Hile and Virginia Ferry), and Owen Knight.

In October 2021, Angelicia Risk also began wrestling for Tennesse-based 127 Pro Wrestling, a promotion where she would soon see her most success on the independent scene.

In November 2021, Angelica Risk wrestled in the Georgia-based Championship Wrestling From Atlanta (CWFA), where she (accompanied by Dani Jordyn, who has made appearances in AEW) faced former TNA star Marti Belle. That same month, Risk captured the 127 Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship.

Angelica Risk also saw tag team action in 127 Pro Wrestling that month, when she teamed with Kat Spencer (another wrestler who is in the early part of her career and has trained at the Nightmare Factory) to go against Hyena Hera (who also trained at Nightmare Factory) & Rylee Rocket (who Risk defeated for the Women’s Championship earlier in the month).

December 2021 was a busy month for Angelica Risk as she made her return to AEW, first going against Riho on an episode of, “AEW Dark: Elevation“, and then facing Brandi Rhodes two days later on an episode of, “AEW Dark“. Risk next saw action in the North Carolina-based DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling (DPW), making her debut there.

Angelica Risk then put her 127 Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship on the line that month against Rylee Rocket. She was defeated by Rocket on this night, losing the Championship to the woman she won it from. Risk returned to AEW later in December, this time facing Skye Blue on an episode of, “AEW Dark: Elevation“.

We are only 2 months into 2022, but Angelica Risk has already made many appearances in AEW. In January, she faced Penelope Ford on, “AEW Dark“. This month, Risk went against Emi Sakura on, “AEW Dark“, and on the same day that she wrestled Serena Deeb on, “AEW Rampage”, Risk also teamed with Arie Alexander and Freya States to go against Red Velvet, Tay Conti, and Anna Jay for an episode of, “AEW Dark: Elevation“.
