NFL


  • The Denver Broncos interviewed former Stanford coach David Shaw. Shaw stepped down as their coach in November of last year after 12 years in charge. The 50-year-old does have previous NFL experience.


  • The New York Jets are parting ways with offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur. The 43-year-old has spent the last 2 seasons with the team.



  • The Miami Dolphins have ruled out quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for the wild card game against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Mike McDaniel said that he has not been cleared to play.





NBA


  • Denver Nuggets won their 12th straight home game against the Phoenix Suns 126-97 on Wednesday night. Nikola Jokic had 21 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists and sat out the 4th quarter.



  • The San Antonio Spurs are expected to break the NBA's single-game attendance record on Friday night when they play the Golden State Warriors. They have sold 63,592 tickets for the game, which is being played at the Alamodome.
