Humpday happenings you might have missed

NFL

  1. The NFL is looking for a suspension of at least one year in addition to a fine and is appealing the disciplinary officer’s decision to suspend the quarterback for only 6 games. Watson has faced suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Over on ESPN, @AdamSchefter reported that Deshaun Watson: "Continues to insist that he's done nothing wrong and has not shown remorse during this process and doesn't believe he has to." That doesn't mesh with the Browns ownership statement that Watson is "remorseful." – He isn't pic.twitter.com/YgxYf0wz9V — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) August 3, 2022

  1. Arizona Cardinals receiver Marquise Brown was arrested and charged with criminal speeding. It was confirmed by Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves that Brown was arrested at 7:05am and was booked into the Maricopa County Jail Wednesday morning. In Arizona, criminal speeding is defined as anything 20 mph over the posted speed limit and carries just a misdemeanor.
