Houston is going to be a problem

Houston Texans- They are sitting in a great Draft position for the 2023 Draft but making needs or picks more obvious. The ability to trade Cooks' salary and make the whole roster better is a win. The additions of Robert Woods and Noah Brown are nice depth plus experience to what will be either Davis Mills, Case Keenum, or 1st round rookie (see Mock below) for week one starter. Nico Collins is emerging and hopefully, John Metchie is back healthy. The backfield added to draft steal Dameon Pierce with Devin Singletary and a pro's pro in Mike Boone. Dalton Schultz moves across the state, becoming the starter and making Brevin Jordan more of a role player. Laremy Tunsil is signed to a huge contract and is next to last year's 1st rounder Kenyon Green.

Mock Draft

1-2: Bryce Young (QB) Alabama

1-12: Jalen Carter (DL) Georgia

2-33: Brian Branch (DB) Alabama

3-65: Adetomiwa Adebawore (EDGE) Northwestern

3-73: Matt Bergeron (OT) Syracuse

3-104: Noah Sewell (LB) Oregon

5-161: Riley Moss (CB) Iowa

6-188: Yaya Diaby (EDGE) Louisville

6-201: Ryan Hayes (OT) Michigan

6-203: Bryce Ford-Wheaton (WR) West Virginia

7-230: Curtis McClendon (IOL) UTC

7-259: Chad Ryland (K) Maryland

I know, a lot of Defense. New head coach DeMeco Ryans will build a defense in the mold of the 49ers. This draft gives you help on the front, a chees piece D-Back in Branch, and EDGE players with athleticism.

It might be 2024 for the Texans, but as the Jaguars rise, Caserio and Ryans will try to build a team to compete with them.
