Also on this episode, it was made official that this Sunday, Claudio Castagnoli will be facing Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor. Castagnoli’s fans who followed his career in WWE desired to see him have a run as a top singles champion. It never happened, but considering the fact that Castagnoli was sharing a roster with names such as AJ Styles, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Triple H, it’s not very surprising that he never was given the opportunity, as WWE usually was more focused on the bigger draws. But in ROH, Castagnoli would stand out to the point that he could be the face of ROH if he is given the opportunity as ROH World Champion.

Chris Jericho defeated Eddie Kingston in a “Barbed Wire Death” match
After the Brody King-Darby Allin match, Miro entered the arena while King and Malakai Black were in the ring, but it was unclear if Miro is currently an ally or enemy of Black’s House of Black faction. I think it would benefit Miro to be a member of the House of Black, and it could help the House of Black as well- he has held the AEW TNT Championship in the past, so Miro potentially can be the person to bring it to the House of Black.

Jim Cornette was recently very critical of the booking decision to have Wardlow defend the AEW TNT Championship against Orange Cassidy last week on, “AEW Dynamite”. While I don’t agree that Wardlow or Orange Cassidy was damaged by this match, I do think that there are Wardlow AEW TNT Championship defenses that fans would rather see. A suggestion that quickly comes to mind is against Ricky Starks. In fact, with Starks being the current FTW Champion, they could have a title vs. title match. As for Cassidy, both he and Shawn Spears are two wrestlers without a program currently, and I think a program between the two of them would interest AEW fans.
