PAC defeated Buddy Matthews in an “AEW All-Atlantic Title Qualifying” match

AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa defeated Marina Shafir

Jon Moxley defeated Kyle O’Reilly in an “Interim AEW World Title #1 Contendership” match

Viewership for, “AEW Dynamite” was down this week. I wonder if the viewership would have been better if former World Heavyweight Champion Jake Hager had won the AEW World Title #2 Contendership Casino Battle Royale and faced Jon Moxley in the main event. Perhaps this main event featuring a former World Heavyweight Champion versus a former AEW World Champion would have been more appealing to viewers, especially if it’s two former world champions who have faced each other before.

After Adam Page won his match, Page called out IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for a match at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door, the event where an interim AEW World Champion will be crowned. But by the time the segment was over, it appeared that assuming Okada is still champion, he may be facing Adam Cole instead. There will be AEW fan interest in this match no matter which man Okada faces, due to how big of a name he is in the pro-wrestling industry. But I think Okada vs. Cole would draw the maximum AEW fan interest.
