After Jeff Hardy’s match, he and Matt Hardy were confronted by The Young Bucks, so it appears that we will be seeing them wrestle The Hardys sooner than later. This is a good thing because as I wrote in January, both teams have faced each other in the past, and they know how to have a great match together.

An intriguing development here in the middle of the ring as #TheHardys and the @youngbucks face off after @JEFFHARDYBRAND's win tonight! Watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on @TBSNetwork! pic.twitter.com/hmF190s2Dx — All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) May 5, 2022

W. Morrissey apparently was the pre-final boss of the Wardlow-MJF storyline, because after Morrissey’s defeat, MJF has now agreed to face Wardlow. He has gone through many roadblocks to get to MJF- Morrissey, Lance Archer, The Butcher, even security guards. The only thing that I would have done differently is that I would have had Morrissey as Wardlow’s first roadblock, and had Archer or The Butcher as the pre-final boss. This would have presented an AEW talent as the toughest challenge, instead of someone from outside the company. In any case, it was good for Morrissey that he had an opportunity to show AEW what he can do for them. AEW should bring Morrissey back sometime and put him in a match with someone like Jungle Boy or Buddy Matthews so that Morrissey can show his versatility and that he can work with talents of all styles and sizes.

Also during this episode, Adam Page cut a promo regarding his upcoming Double or Nothing match with CM Punk, coming off a bit heelish. If Page wins and retains the AEW World Championship, this is the way he should continue to be. As a heel champion, Page would have many more new face opponents as options than he does new heel opponents as options.

MORE AEW

Former WCW star Konnan recently suggested on his Keepin It 100 podcast the idea of Miro being in William Regal’s Blackpool Combat Club instead of Wheeler Yuta. I think there is a place for both of them. There are currently three members, meanwhile, there are six championships in AEW. If a faction is going to truly appear to be dominating, there needs to be a member going after each championship. And it would make each championship more valuable in the eyes of fans. Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley can pursue the AEW World Championship and AEW World Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, Miro can attempt to regain the AEW TNT Championship, as Wheeler Yuta goes after the FTW Championship.

That leaves the AEW Women’s World Championship and AEW TBS Championship, which means that the Blackpool Combat Club should recruit female members as well. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter are good options.
