Lance Archer will be the next person in line for Wardlow to face as he continues to attempt to get his hands on MJF. It’s great to see Archer back on AEW-TV. This will probably be a one-time matchup since the main story is the Wardlow-MJF feud. But hopefully AEW remembers that much more can be done with Archer. He’s very versatile, capable of not only working well with powerhouses like Wardlow, but also wrestlers who work a completely different style from him, like Penta Oscuro for example.
#TheButcher may not have gotten the job done tonight, but @The_MJF has another monster in his pocket eager to fight @realwardlow. Tune in NOW to #AEWDynamite LIVE on TBS! pic.twitter.com/Y5ijvoYiOZ — All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) April 21, 2022
MORE AEW
Despite rumors that Jon Moxley is unhappy in AEW, it is now being reported that these rumors are false. That doesn’t surprise me. If online reports are to be believed, he is making even more money than he made in WWE, and he now has the flexibility to wrestle in multiple promotions at once, which Moxley has been doing, wrestling in NJPW (where he has held the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship), the New York-based Northeast Wrestling (NEW), and many other promotions.
Jack Evans recently announced that he will be leaving AEW at the end of this month. It’s unknown where Evans will go next, but with the many accomplishments that he has had in the pro-wrestling industry, it can be argued that Evans has earned an opportunity in WWE. However, perhaps it would be more beneficial to his career to return to the Mexico-based AAA, where Evans has seen the most success, as AAA World Tag Team Champion and AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. With AEW now on his resume, I think Evans would find himself in the main event scene of AAA if he were to return there. I’m sure that Japan is an option for Evans as well.
