It was confirmed during this episode of, “AEW Dynamite” that CM Punk and MJF will have a match on next week’s episode. Many fans are surprised that this match will be taking place on, “AEW Dynamite” instead of a PPV, the next one being Revolution 2022. But it shouldn’t be surprising, considering the fact that the episode will be taking place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

CM Punk finally getting his hands on MJF and defeating him in Chicago would get an electric reaction from the fans who will be in attendance, and this would look good on TV.

PPV buyrates are important, but if a fan is enjoying a product that is being presented to them for free, this will increase the chances that they will pay to see more of it. And in the case of the CM Punk-MJF feud, perhaps that would be a gimmick rematch or a rematch with high stakes involved. So, the value of free TV should never be underestimated.
