Green Bay Packers Bounce Back Against the Chicago Bears

The Green Bay Packers have been notorious for 0-1 starts and then bouncing back afterward as of late. Green Bay took down their arch nemesis, the Chicago Bears easily by a final score 27-10 on Sunday night football. The Packers continue to own the Bears and it is a tough sight for Chicago fans.

Aaron Rodgers wasn’t the one that did damage control, it was Aaron Jones. Jone rushed for 132 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. His touchdown came in the second quarter on a 15-yard rush. Jone also caught three passes for 38 yards receiving and a score.

However, Rodgers did complete 19-of-25 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Jones in the second quarter and he also threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Allen Lazard in the second quarter.

Lazard caught two passes for 13 yards receiving and a score.

Sammy Watkins caught three passes for 93 yards receiving for the Green Bay Packers. He was their leading receiver though.

Randall Cobb caught three passes for 37 yards receiving for Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers was trusting the veterans. Sooner rather than later, he is going to have to rely on rookies Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. They are going to need it. Robert Tonyan and A.J. Dillon is also a big part of this offense as well.

On the defensive side of the football, they only gave up one touchdown. It came in the first quarter on a Justin Fields 3-yard rush. In the fourth quarter, it appeared as if Fields scored another rushing touchdown, but they stopped him twice on the goal line.

Justin Fields completed 7-of-11 passes for 70 yards and one interception. He also rushed for 20 yards on eight carries and a score.

David Montgomery rushed for 122 yards on 15 carries for the Chicago Bears. The Green Bay Packers will need to clean up the running defense a little bit this week in practice.

Equanimeous St. Brown was Chicago’s leading receiver with two receptions for 39 yards receiving.

Matt LaFleur is always good for the Green Bay Packers as a head coach after a loss also.

Matt Eberflus has the Chicago Bears playing hard and as a head coach, his team lacks talent and personnel.

The Green Bay Packers (1-1) next game will be on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) next Sunday on 9/25.

The Chicago Bears (1-1) next game will be at home against the Houston Texans (1-1) next Sunday on 9/25.
